Functioning App vs Prototype

Hi,

I know this has been asked and answered, but I am still confused. My apologies.

I have a functioning web app. Must I still use one of the prototyping tools, if I am past the prototyping stage?

Or can I submit a link and login to the functioning web app along with video?

  Yes, you can submit a link to your app and video. We suggest the prototyping tools as a bare minimum or in order to show the judges features that might not be easily seen when looking through the app.
